Mepiform® Soft Silicone Gel Sheeting for Scar Management is designed for the management of both old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars. It can also be used as a prophylactic therapy on closed wounds for prevention of hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
How long should you use Mepiform?
For optimum results, Mepiform® should be used for 2-4 months or longer depending on the condition and age of the scar tissue. To ensure maximum effectiveness, Mepiform® should be applied when the scar is newly formed.
How quickly does Mepiform work?
Mepiform is clinically proven to flatten, soften and fade red and raised hypertrophic and keloid scars. Depending on the condition of the scar tissue, it may take up to 3 months to see an improvement of the scar .

How to use Mepiform – step by step
- Remove the release film. If needed, cut to shape.
- Apply Mepiform to the scar. Make sure that the skin is clean and dry and free from any ointment etc.
- Re-apply after daily cleaning of the scar.
Can I wash Mepiform?
Wash Mepiform® in mild, soapy water. In warm weather or during exercise, Mepiform® should be cleaned more often. Avoid using detergents as this may lead to skin irritation.
