What is side spin in golf?

The same force that causes a baseball pitch to curve is responsible for golf shots that turn left or right: sidespin. Just as it sounds, sidespin occurs when there’s a degree of sideways or horizontal rotation (in addition to backspin, or vertical rotation) on the ball. The more sidespin, the more curvature.

What is side spin in cricket?

Top-spin causes the ball to dip in flight, side-spin causes the ball to move side-ways through the air and off-spin can cause the ball to drift across the pitch towards the end of the delivery, drawing the batsman into a more vulnerable position, researchers said.

Should I play a high spin or low spin golf ball?

How do you move the red ball in snooker?

How do you play the Blue in snooker?

There’s no angle to run through for good position on the blue, so you need to play with top right-hand side. The top spin pulls the cue-ball forward onto the cushion and the right-hand side then flicks the cue-ball over to gain position on the blue.

How to play a stun shot in snooker?

So play the stroke with strong right-hand side but play it with little follow-through of the cue, as if you were playing a stun shot. The lack of follow-through means that less power will be transferred into forward motion of the cue-ball, so less will be given to the red.
