What is Woca natural soap?
WOCA Natural Soap is a gentle cleaner for oiled and hardwax wood flooring and wood surfaces. The active ingredients, soy and coconut fat, leave an invisible film barrier on your wood surface which conditions and strengthens the finish. Regular use helps the wood surface become more stain and water resistant.
How do you clean hardwood floors with Woca?
WOCA Natural Soap Hardwood Floor Cleaner
- Clean your wood floors regularly with a vacuum cleaner or broom.
- Shake the container of Natural Soap carefully before use.
- Mix a cleaning solution of 3 oz. Natural Soap per gallon of lukewarm water.
- Using a well wrung mop, damp mop the floor with the natural soap mixture.
What is Woca oil?
WOCA Master Oil contains pigment, which provides a single-step hardwood floor staining process. Laying down the stain and the finish in one step saves you a ton of time.
How do you use Woca oil?
Oil Refresher Instructions
- Shake the bottle well before and during use.
- Mix Oil Refresher with lukewarm water – For traditionally oiled floors: 1:20 (6 oz/gallon of water).
- Damp mop the floor.
- Leave the floor to dry for approximately two hours before use.
- For slightly higher sheen, polish the dry floor with a white pad.
How do you clean oiled hardwood floors?
Clean the surface using Blanchon Natural Soap. Mix 100ml in 5ltrs of warm water for normal cleaning and apply with a damp cloth or well wrung out mop. Do not allow large amounts of water to be left on the floorboards. (For heavily soiled floors increase natural soap strength of 250ml in the same amount of water).
How do you use Woca vinyl and lacquer soap?
Apply the concentrated Vinyl and Lacquer Care in a THIN layer with a clean flat head floor mop. Do not continue the application once the surface of the floor has begun to dry. Leave to dry for at least 30 minutes. We recommend WOCA Vinyl and Lacquer Soap for the regular cleaning.
How often should I oil my hardwood floors?
Periodic maintenance is when the floor requires re-oiling. There’s no set time for this, however it is good if this can be done at least once a year in normal domestic situations. You can identify if the floor needs re-oiling by the following factors: Timber feels or looks dry/grain feels more noticeable.
Do oiled wood floors stain?
It will greatly depend on the type of oil, how long the oil has been present and the type of finish of your wooden floor. If it is a brushed finish, then it can stain easier in the grain which is harder to clean. If it is a natural oil or a matt oil it will become porus quicker than satin or gloss hardwax oil.
Can I use WOCA products to clean my floor?
Only WOCA products should be used to clean your floor, all of which are available through Midwest Flooring. Light scratches are best repaired by hand rubbing WOCA Master Oil or Master Color Oil on the affected areas using a cloth. If necessary, first clean the area to be repaired with WOCA Wood Cleaner solution.
How long will a WOCA oil finish last?
When properly cared for, a WOCA oil finished floor will last virtually forever and will never have to be sanded. A wood floor finished with WOCA oil is resistant even to excessive wear and most liquid spills. Proper maintenance is simple.
When is the best time to apply WOCA products?
After your floors have been freshly sanded is the time to apply WOCA’s various lyes, active stains, and pre-colors. These products need to react with bare wood and the chemical properties within them. Most of these treatments need 24 hours to dry before the initial application of master oil – be sure to include this in your timing.
How do you use WOCA maintenance paste?
An additional top coat of WOCA maintenance paste can be added for an additional protection layer, and to increase the sheen of the surface. WOCA maintenance paste should be applied using a white polishing pad, and should be applied even across the surface. Edges and hard-to-reach spots will need to be applied by hand.
