I would get that Champ fixed though. It will really train your ear of what to expect from a bigger amp. They are very good amps, almost certainly worth repairing (unless the damage is too extensive). Although they were built for practice, many big name guitar players use them in the studio.

Is a Fender Champ Class A?
The Champ is Fenders only Class A amplifier. Most Fender amplifiers come with two to four power tubes and operate in Class AB mode. I’ve been looking at switching amps and I’m going back & forth between a few options, one of which being the Fender Super Champ. That clean channel just sounds phenomenal and any of the decent digital models are just a plus. But today I realized that Fender is discontinuing it and not supporting the software.
What is a 5F1 circuit?
The 5F1 uses a 100k plate resistor and a 1.5k cathode resistor, which, assuming roughly 300v supply voltage, places the 12AX7 in the most linear region of its operation. In contrast, the GA-5 uses a 220k plate resistor and a 2.2k cathode resistor. The larger plate resistor allows the tube to achieve more gain.

Does Super Champ x2 have headphone jack?

The screen and plate voltage come off the same filter cap which is a design flaw. The tone is similar to the 5F1 but has less punch and volume due to the flawed power section.

Why is the tone similar to the 5f1 but different?
The tone is similar to the 5F1 but has less punch and volume due to the flawed power section. These will benefit from adding a 1K ohm 2 watt screen resistor and fixing the flaw in the power section.
How to make an amp sound more like a 5F1?
These amps can be made to sound more like a 5F1 by disabling the tone controls and changing the filtering circuit. Adding a negative feedback or an eq lift switch ca add some more versatility to the amp
