Does IIB affect ESA?

Your basic Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit does not affect any other National Insurance benefits such as: Incapacity Benefit. Employment and Support Allowance (contribution-based) Contribution-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.

You might be able to claim Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) if you’re disabled because you either: were injured in an accident caused by your work – for example if you damaged your leg or got post-traumatic stress disorder.

You may qualify for Incapacity Benefit if you now live in the UK but worked in a Social Security Agreement country for a UK employer. Some Social Security Agreement countries will pay Incapacity Benefit to you if you lived and worked there but now live in the UK.
